Cassidy: We are now a Training Practice and have a new GP Trainer

Cassidy Medical Centre is now a Training Practice, joining a growing portfolio of AT Medics postgraduate training sites and the largest network of GP training practices in London.

GP Director Dr Aumran Tahir commented “It is with great pleasure that I announce Cassidy Medical Centre has been approved today (Thursday 21st July 2016) as a training practice by the School of General Practice. I am delighted that Dr Ahmed Hamza has been approved as a GP ST Trainer for the first time, and I would like to pass my warmest congratulations to Dr Hamza and the whole team at CMC.”

“Our first GP trainee will be joining Cassidy Medical Centre soon, and patients will be advised to ensure that they have the opportunity to decide whether or not to see a GP trainee during their consultations.”

Cassidy Medical Centre joins a growing portfolio of AT Medics postgraduate medical training sites, now 12 in total, delivering bespoke training and education programmes, with 11 ST3 trainers and nine F2 trainers.

AT Medics delivers several successful training and education programmes for all grades of primary care staff across its portfolio of London practices.

Cassidy Medical Centre came under management by AT Medics in July 2015; Training Practice status is one of a number of key and significant improvements that have been achieved under the new management, focussed on delivering high quality accessible healthcare services in a professional, well-managed learning environment.

Kings Road: New telephone number, improved access

We’ve listened to feedback from patient experiences at Kings Road Medical Centre regarding access via telephone, and as such we have invested in a new telephony system that offers enhanced access by way of more lines into the practice.

From Friday 8th July 2016, you can call us on our new number 020 7352 9568.

Our existing number, 020 3006 9217 will still be available, but the new number offers more lines into the practice. This provides you with improved access as well as enhanced choice.

We encourage you to book online at a time and date that is convenient to you, with the clinician of your choice, and this in turn will help us to take more calls from patients who may have an urgent need.

Your Care. Your Choices.

To receive the care that you require swiftly, you can choose from using our Online Services, Self Care information and Telephone Consultations:

Telephone Consultations are available at our practice daily, and this allows our GPs to determine your needs quickly.

Telephone triage and consultations have improved access to care for our patients significantly, whilst continuing to deliver high standards and continuity of care. Our triage systems ensures that our patients are referred to the appropriate clinician for the appropriate level of care, within an appropriate period of time. Our GPs will determine if you require a face-to-face appointment following a telephone consultation, and this will be arranged on the same day.

We may ask for the reason that you need to see or speak to a GP when you call for an appointment. This system helps us to establish what treatment is best for you and the most appropriate clinician for you to see.
