High telephone traffic due to COVID vaccine query- UPDATE

The next clinic for covid vaccines is being rolled out this week. Patients eligible are those who are currently over 80, prioritising those who are shielding, each patient will be contacted and offered the vaccine. This will take place at Lord’s specifically located at The Grace Gate on St John’s Wood Road. This is right next to the Lord’s Taven.

At this moment in time we have no further information concerning when the next set of roll out vaccines will be done nor which age group will be prioritised.

High telephone traffic due to COVID vaccine query

COVID vaccine mobilisation started in Westminster with a small number of the most clinically vulnerable group or those aged 85 and over, as defined by the UK government, being offered the vaccine first. We had a limited number of slots for the December clinic.
The next clinic will be early Jan 2021 although we have not been given a date yet. This will take place at Lord’s Cricket Ground and the South Westminster Centre.
Please do not contact your practice for this – you will be contacted as vaccines are delivered and you are due to be invited. Priority is for the oldest, most high risk patients first.
Once we have further information you will be contacted when you are due to be offered a vaccination and the information will be updated on our website page.

Flu Update

Please note that people in the 50-64-year old age group will not be vaccinated until November and December, providing there is sufficient vaccine, and no appointments will be offered for this age group until then. This is to ensure that those who are most at risk are vaccinated first. If you are 50-64 and you are in one of the other groups which is eligible for the flu vaccination, for example you have a health condition which puts you at risk from the flu, you will be invited earlier.
